29th Nirwan Diwas of Mathura Devi observed

JAMMU, Jan 4: The 29th Nirwan Diwas of Mata Mathura Devi was observed at Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi Phase second today.
A large number of devotees attended the function. On the occasion Shalokas from Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta were recited by Swami Kumar Ji who also threw light on the spiritual life of Mata Mathura Devi who was born in 1878 in Veerinag Kashmir.
He said with the blessings of her Guru Sarwanand Ji she attained heights in spirituality.
He said as Kashmir has been abode of many saints and sages from times immemorial Mata Mathura Devi was one among them. Swami Ji and other devotees also paid their respects to Mata Ji and decided to rebuilt her Samadhi.
At another function organized by Swami Mirzakak Trust Hangalgund a Shanti Paath was held for the peace of Sadak Neelkant a Sewak of Swami Mirzakak Trust.
The programme was held at Swami Ji’s Nagrota Ashram this morning in which the Trustees including Bushan Lal Hangloo, Sham Lal Pandita, Dwarika Nath Bhat, Hirday Nath Pandita and others participated. The meeting in an appeal to relief organization urged it not to dispose of quarter of the Sadak as the post funeral Kriya is to be held there for one year.
