Over the course of the two-day film festival, “TIFFS” will showcase approximately four dozen domestic and foreign films, including documentaries and short films. “Additionally, the lineup includes documentaries and music videos. On the occasion, he said, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Ijaz, highlighted the enduring connection between Bollywood and Kashmir, which, despite decades of separation due to unfavorable conditions has been rekindled in recent years, especially since the introduction of the new film policy. “This revival of the natural relationship between Bollywood and Kashmir is a welcomed development for film enthusiasts in the entire Jammu and Kashmir region,” he said.
In the end, the spokesperson informed that Rakesh Roshan Butt, the festival’s director, expressed the aim of organizing such festivals to provide a platform for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir interested in film production within the region. “There is plenty of talent in Jammu and Kashmir, and I promise to continue hosting such film festivals in the future as well,” he said.
