‘2nd Vision Jammu & Kashmir’ concludes

JAMMU, Jan 24: “2nd Vision Jammu & Kashmir”, a three-day exhibition, aimed at promoting science, technology, research & development and cultural heritage, concluded today here at KK Resorts with Power Grid winning best stall shield.
Various Government departments like Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Power Grid Corporation of India, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Department of Biotechnology(DBT), J&K Energy Development Agency ( JAKEDA), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Building Material and Promotion Council, Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), The Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA), Ministry of Railways, various plantation boards, Coir Board and many more were the major exhibitors sharing the knowledge, experiences and delivering interactive sessions and quizzes.
During 3-day exhibition, students of various schools, and other visitors were acquainted with scientific models and literature.
A prize distribution ceremony was organized today with various dignitaries like Priya Sethi, former Minister of State for Information, Education and Culture, Anil Gupta, Executive Director, Power Grid Corporation of India and Shafat Sultan, CEO, JAKEDA, gracing the occasion. Power Grid Corporation of India was felicitated with the award for best display of their activities.
Attracting youth and others towards different aspects of science, this three-day-long exhibition served its purpose by giving glimpses of experiments and researches going on in the displayed fields.
The event highlighted Government policies and programmes for the masses, who were encouraged to take part and grasp the awareness programmes offered on the sector like, Industries, Health & Family Welfare, Indian System of Medicines, Education, Research and Development , Science & Technology, Power and energy, Agriculture and Horticulture.
