JAMMU, Dec 28: A mild earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday evening, the National Center for Seismology reported.
The tremor occurred at 7:34 PM with its epicenter located at latitude 33.81°N and longitude 75.52°E. The quake had a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the surface.
No immediate reports of damage to property or loss of life were received. This comes less than 24 hours after an earthquake with its epicentre in Baramulla shook the Kashmir region last night.
