Srinagar, Dec 30: Security forces today cordoned off Gussu village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district and conducted searches as they have reports of a group of militants hiding in the village.
Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army 53 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 183 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off Harpora locality of Gusoo village this afternoon.
They cordoned off the village after a tip off about presence of militants in the village. The troops sealed all the entry and exit points and also brought in generators for lighting the entire area.
The cordon around the village has been tightened as security forces believed that 3-4 militants are trapped in the village.
