JAMMU, July 21: Akhnoor police arrested three persons for consuming liquor publicly.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Akhnoor police station conducted raid and arrested three persons for consuming liquor publicly in a shop.
The arrested persons have been identified as Anil Kumar, son of Bali Ram of Khour, Rakesh Kumar, son of Krishan Kumar of Pangiari and Garu Ram, son of Sham Lal of Pangiari. One beer, three liquor pouches and three disposable glasses have been seized from their possession.
The shopkeeper identified as Ashwani Kumar of Badgal Tehsil Akhnoor escaped from the spot on seeing police cops.
A case under FIR Number 148/17 has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
