UDHAMPUR, Apr 10: Police today arrested three persons and seized 19 bags of CAPD ration, which was being smuggled by the accused for its black marketing.
Reports said that acting on reliable information, a police party led by SDPO Ramnagar, Manish Agarwal and SHO Ramnagar Rakesh Bamba intercepted a vehicle carrying 19 bags of CAPD wheat meant for distribution among general public on subsidized rates.
Police seized the vehicle, bearing registration number JK14C-962 and arrested all the accused , identified as Charan Dass of Rang, Ajay Kumar of Dradan Dehari and Balwan Singh of Dradan.
Police have not ruled out the possibility of involvement of some CAPD officials in this black marketing nexus and some more arrests are expected in this connection.
