JAMMU, Sept 18: Nagrota police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three persons along with 30 grams heroin.
As per police sources, a police party from police station Nagrota during routine night patrolling on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway found a car bearing registration number JK14C-8002 stranded at Jagti near IIT Campus site and subjected it to frisking.
Three persons were found inside the car and during their checking around 30 grams heroin was recovered from their possession.
Police arrested all the three persons on the spot.
A case under FIR Number 192/ 16 under Section 8/21 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Jatinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Dr Amit Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
