JAMMU, Apr 27: Janipur and Gandhi Nagar police booked three persons for violating SOPs issued in wake of COVID-19 pandemic by the District Administration.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali arrested owner of a welding shop namely Dev Raj, son of Fatta of Buta Nagar for violating the latest District Magistrate Jammu order regarding opening of 50 per cent in busy market/municipal limits.
As COVID-19 pandemic cases rise, the order regarding opening of 50 per cent shops in municipal limits was issued by DM Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 44/2021 under Sections 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Bharat Sharma arrested owners of a road side eatery for violating SOPs.
The arrested persons were identified as Rahul Mehra, son of Yograj of Channi and Munish Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar of Nanak Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 115/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
