3 bootleggers held

RAJOURI, July 31: The police today nabbed three bootleggers in district Rajouri while foiling two separate liquor smuggling bids and seized 62 bottles of liquor from their possession.
Police said that a team from Lamberi Police Post headed by SI Mehmood Khan under the supervision of SHO, Nowshera Amit Singh during routine patrolling intercepted two local persons identified as Vikram Singh, son of Harcharan Singh, resident of Dhalian Nowshera and Avinash Kumar, son of Satvir Kumar, resident of Rajal, Nowshera and recovered 42 bottles of liquor from them.
“Both the persons were arrested from the spot and a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Nowshera police station against them,” Police said.
Police also foiled another liquor smuggling bid after a team headed by SHO, Dharamsal, Rajinder Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera, Zakir Shaheen Mirza during patrolling intercepted a scooty No. JK11B/ 2855 at Manji Dhara village and and recovered 20 bottles of liquor from the one person namely, Daljeet Singh, son of Kamaljeet Singh, resident of Marcholla in Sunderbani. A case was registered against him.
