UDHAMPUR, June 28: Majalta Police today rescued three bovine animals and arrested four smugglers in this connection.
During checking at Battal Morh, a police party of Police Station Majalta intercepted two Mahindra vehicles, bearing registration number JK08E-0132 and JK0BX-5160, carrying three bovine animals illegally from district Samba towards Kashmir.
Police rescued these bovine animals and arrested both the drivers as well as their associates, namely Kuldeep Kumar (driver), son of Suram Chand of Brediaan Udhampur, Bhushan Kumar son of Charan Dass of Talpad, Mohd Ishtiaq (driver), son of Ab Rashid of Baishty Chenani and Mohd. Aslam, son of Nazir Ahmed of Thandaa Padder.
Police also seized both the vehicles and registered as case.
