UDHAMPUR, Aug 29: Chenani Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued three animals besides arresting the accused smuggler.
Based on reliable information, a Police team led SHO Chenani, Inspector Paramjeet Singh, laid a surprise naka near Chenani- Domil National Highway and intercepted one Tata Carrier, bearing registration No. JK02AS-5685.
In the vehicle, three bovine animals were loaded, which were rescued by the Police. Driver of the vehicle, namely Mohd Azad of Mada, Chenani, was also arrested on the spot.
A Case FIR No. 120 under 188/RPC, 3/PCA has been registered in this connection at P/S Chenani.
