Excelsior Correspondent UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: Police today arrested three bovine smugglers and rescued seventeen bovine animals from their possession. Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, Police Party from Udhampur Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra load carrier. During checking, police recovered seven 7 bovine animals and arrested the bovine smuggler Khalid Ahmed, son of Manzoor Ahmed of Tharad, Udhampur. A case under FIR number 368/12 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started. In another incident, police party from Chenani Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK1BA 1001. During checking, police recovered twelve bovine animals and arrested two smugglers namely Talib Hussain, son of Mohd Abrahim and Bashir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, both residents of Reasi. A case under FIR number 122/12 under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Chenani and investigation started.
