JAMMU, May 16: Police today rescued three bovine animals and arrested one smuggler from Gharota of the winter capital.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gharota police station led by SHO Jatinder Sambyal laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK11A-1452.
During checking, police recovered three bovine animals and arrested one smuggler, who has been identified as Mohd Sharief of Talwara.
A case under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Gharota police station and investigation started.
