SRINAGAR, Mar 26: Three burglars were arrested and stolen property worth lakhs of rupees was recovered from them in Kupwara this morning.
Police said a case FIR No. 19/13 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Trehgam pertaining to theft of two cement mixers from Trehgam area before a month. By arresting Farooq Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Ramzan, resident Nailoo Pattan, Baramulla, Mohammad Amin Lone, son of Abdul Gaffer Lone, resident of Khag, Drung and a kingpin Ghulam Nabi Najar, son of Khaliq Najar, resident Trehgam, police have recovered stolen property worth Rs 3 lacs from them.
Police said, questioning of the accused is going on, in order to solve other burglary cases.
