RAJOURI, May 15: Three cattle were killed due to lightning in Sunderbani area of district Rajouri this afternoon.
A police spokesman disclosed that incident took place at village Peli, about 6 kms from Sunderbani town. It was raining with thunder-storm in this belt during afternoon. Suddenly, a strong beam of flash light from the sky with loud thunder struck a tree at the village resulting into the death of three cattle including a buffalo. The tree also suffered massive damage. Its branches were broken and it turned dry. The two dead cows belonged to one Joginder Pal, son of Hans Raj and Suram Chand, son of Chuni Lal, both residents of Peli village. These cattle were sitting under the tree when natural calamity took place.
