3-day first-aid training camp for border villages concludes

JAMMU, Oct 1: Fourth 3-day first-aid training course for border villages organized at village Hamir Pur (Khona) Pargwal, in Akhnoor sector concluded today.
The training was imparted by a team of well versed doctors namely Dr Rajinder Thappa, Causality Medical Officer, SMGS Hospital, Jammu, Dr Amit Mania from PHC Dansal, Dr Palvi Thappa, MD and Dr Yamnie Wazir from Vivekanand Hospital, Jammu assisted by pharmacist, Sohan Lal.
The camp was organized by Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu in collaboration with Tiger Division 19 Brigade 25 Punjab. In the camp more than 25 participants including 13 girls and 12 boys were trained by the experts. The participants were also distributed the provisional certificates and first aid kits by Brig SKS Chauhan, Miran Sahib Brigade Command and RC Puri, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu.
Besides this, a free medical checkup camp was also organized in the village in which a large number of patients suffering from different ailments got examined and provided free medicines.
Brig SKS Chauhan while speaking on the occasion appreciated the support extended by the Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu in organizing the first-aid training programme and free medical checkup camp for the people of border village Hamir Pur (Khona), Pargwal.
