3 -day long celebrations of Vitasta Diwas conclude

ANATNAG, Sept 18: The three -day long celebrations of Vitasta Diwas concluded at shrine of Viatasta at Verinag, in South Kashmir district of Anantnag, the origin of river Vitasta.
The function was organized  by Vitasta Degvastan Prabandhak Committee under the leadership of Moti Lal Kaul a senior member of the Committee and its general secretary R K Bhat.
The Minister of Tourism G A Mir also attended the function and assured all support to displaced Pandits from the area in preservation and development of the shrines in Dooru Constituency.
A Maha Yagya as usual was solemnized on the occasion under the supervision of Jyotshi Sham Lal Sharma which started yesterday evening and culminated with Puranahuti today. This was followed by serving of prashad to devotees. The flag hoisting ceremony was performed by highest bidder Pradhuman Krishan Koul. A large number of devotees attended the function and participated in bhajan Kirtan. The three-day long celebrations started on September 16 concluded with Kushalhum today.
