3-day long religious function begins at Kailash Vidyadham

JAMMU, May 31: The three -day long annual religious function being held in connection of Zest Ashtami started at Kailash Vidyadham Chinore today with Bhoomi Poojan and Kalash poojan.
A large number of devotees thronged the Ashram to participate in the religious function held under the supervision of Prof A K Ogra a great religious scholar.
The Kalash Pooja will be followed by solemnization of Vedic Havan which will begin tomorrow morning and culminate with Puranhauti on June 2. The devotees will be served with Prashad after the Purahuti.
The religious scholars from Rishikesh, Uttrakhand are participating in the religious function and all rituals are being performed as Vedic parampara, said Prof Ogra.
He also highlighted the significance of Vedic hawans saying the Vedas are the original scriptures which not only guide us in spiritual life but also throw light on day to day family life and deal with varied subjects including medicines, art, culture etc.
He said the religious function is being performed every year from decades together by the devotees and as a precedence the religious scholars from Rishikesh perform the Vaidic Hawan every year.
The devotees from various parts of country are participating in the religious function.
