3-day Maha Yagya begins

JAMMU, June 5: A three day Maha Yagya started at Kailash Dham Chinore here with Kalash pooja this morning.
The Maha Yagya is being organized by Kailash Dham Trust every year on Zesht Ashtami in the Ashram.  A team of religious scholars from Haridwar have been specially invited by the Trust to perform this unique type of Maha Yagya said Prof A K Ogra one of the Trustees.
He said the Maha Yagya will culminate tomorrow with puranahuti and serving of Prashad to devotees. Thousands of mantras will be recited during the Maha Yagya for world peace and brotherhood, he added.
The Ashram was agog with religious festivities for early morning with large number of devotees thronging there to participate in the hawan.
The devotees were served prashad today also.
Prof Ogra said that Maha Yagya is every year conducted in the Ashram and he complimented the Sarpanch Chinore and district BJP president Akhnoor Sukhdev Singh Jamwal for his cooperation and support in making arrangements for the Maha Yagya.
The Maha Yagya will culminate on June 7 with Pooja archana.
