3- day NE meet of ABVP concludes

JAMMU, May 31:Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is sensitive towards the J&K since its inception and it favours that the State should march on path of progress, peace and development.
This was stated by ABVP national secretary Shree Hari Borikar while giving details of three day National Executive meet which concluded here today.
He said a resolution pertaining to J&K among various other resolutions concerning national interests was also tabled in NE meet here.
It was stressed that more Central universities be set up for building of nation and society as a whole. Besides, law should be enacted to ban commercialization of education in the country and a policy be framed for the upliftment of the students belonging to reserved categories. In addition to this, four more resolutions were also passed.
The ABVP will intensify its activities in the universities all over the country, he said, adding a resolution was also adopted during the meet in this regard. The ABVP has decided to increase its membership all over the country and in this connection the organization has issued miss call number 18002090930.
He said various issues like improving standard of education, protecting environment and organising the programmes for unity in diversity on the 150 birth anniversary of Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar were discussed and some suggestions were given on the basis of which ABVP will adopt its future strategy.
