3 die of COVID in J&K; 99 test +ve, 102 recover

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Mar 13: Three persons died of COVID-19-two in Kashmir and one in Jammu-and 99 tested positive while 102 others recovered from the virus in J&K today.
A 68-year-old man hailing from village Mahal Kalradarian in Ramgarh tehsil of Samba district died of ailments and Coronavirus on way to Jammu from Ludhiana where he had gone for treatment.
With fresh fatality, COVID toll in the Jammu region has gone up to 730, the highest being 377 in Jammu district followed by 64 Doda, 57 Udhampur, 55 Rajouri, 53 Kathua, 41 Samba, 24 Poonch, 22 Kishtwar, 21 Ramban and 16 in Reasi district.
Twenty four Corona positive cases were reported in Jammu region including 14 in Jammu district, six Reasi, two Samba and one each in Udhampur and Poonch districts today.
Eleven persons recovered from the virus in the region, 10 of them in Jammu district and one in Samba.
Jammu region now has 52194 Corona cases. Among them, 202 are active positives while 51262 have recovered from the virus and there have been 730 casualties.
Meanwhile, 75 people today tested positive for COVID-19 while two persons died in the Valley.
Two persons who were COVID-19 positive died in Kashmir today taking the overall toll in J&K to 1974 including 1244 in Valley.
Those who tested positive include 42 from Srinagar, Baramulla 12, Budgam 6, Pulwama 2, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 2 and Shopian 3.
There are 881 active cases including 679 in Kashmir. So far, 124680 persons have recovered including 73418 in Kashmir. And out of 5534502 test conducted, 5406967 were negative and 127535 positive.
And 102 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 91 from Kashmir valley.
In J&K out of 127535 positive cases, 881 are active, 124680 have recovered and 1974 have died including 1244 in Kashmir division.
Meanwhile, one person today tested positive in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The positive case was reported in Kargil district. However, no fresh case was today recorded in Leh district.
The Union Territory of Ladakh now has 9847 Corona cases. However, among them, only 31 are active positives including 27 in Leh and four in Kargil while 9686 have recovered from the virus.
There have been 130 Corona casualties in Ladakh—86 in Leh and 44 in Kargil.
Of total 9847 Corona cases, 7705 were recorded in Leh and 2142 in Kargil.
Among 31 active cases in Ladakh, only one is admitted in COVID hospital while 11 are in home isolation, 12 in COVID Care Centre and seven in Facility Isolation.
