REASI, Oct 3: Continuing the drive against drug abuse, the police in Reasi arrested three notorious drug peddlers and recovered 15 gm of heroin (Chitta) from their possession.
Official sources said that Police party of Police Station Katra, apprehended one person namely- Sumit Sharma, son of Mohan Lal, resident of Searli, Katra at PCP Searli Naka and from his possession recovered 5 grams of heroin.
In this regard, case FIR No. 308/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Katra and investigation initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages.
In another incident, Police apprehended two persons namely Divansh Sharma, son of Vipan Sharma, resident of Ward No. 2, Tea Garden, Katra and Madhav Thakur, son of Brij Mohan, resident of Matyal in Tehsil Katra at PCP Nomain Naka and from their possession 5/5 gram heroin/chitta was recovered.
On this, case FIR No. 307/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Katra and investigation initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages.
