UDHAMPUR, Mar 7: Udhampur Police today arrested three drug peddlers in two different cases and recovered 10 grams of Heroin like narcotic substance from their possession.
Reports said that during patrolling duty at Sambal Road Udhampur, Police party of Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO Chaman Gorka, under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Sahil Mahajan, apprehended one Asif Hussain, son of Imtiyaz Sheikh of Shiv Nagar, Udhampur and recovered six grams of Heroin like narcotic substance from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR number 90/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur.
In another case, Police intercepted two more suspected persons namely Sunil Malik, son of Pinka Teja of Christian Colony, Udhampur and Smile Gill, son of Madan Lal of Barta, Udhampur from Sallain Talab road near DFO Office. Police party recovered four grams of contraband Heroin like substance from possession of the duo.
In this connection, another Case FIR number 91/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur. Further investigation in both the cases is going on to unearth the backward and forward linkages.
