3 drug peddlers arrested with cannabis, heroin

JAMMU, Jan 11: Bahu Fort and Pouni Chak Police arrested three drug peddlers along with cannabis and heroin.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO East Sajad Sarwar and SP South Deepak Digra laid a naka and apprehended two drug peddlers along with 720 grams of cannabis.
The arrested person was identified as Yousaf alias Rinku, son of Ghulam Rasool of Bikram Chowk District Jammu and Liyakat Ali, son of Muzzafar Din of District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 13/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Pouni Chak led by PSI Nitish Khajuria under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma laid a naka and apprehended a drug peddler along with 6 grams of heroin.
The arrested drug peddler was identified as Santosh Kumar alias Mannu, son of Darshan, a resident of Nagrota, Ghou Manhasan District Jammu.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
