3 drug peddlers arrested with contraband substances in Baramulla

SRINAGAR, Apr 16: Police on Sunday arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from them in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police said a drug peddler identified as Amir Hussain, a resident of Wagoora was nabbed during a checking at Kacha Muqam Chandoosa along with 50 grams of contraband Charas like substance.
They said another drug peddler identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Lone, a resident of Ferozpora Tangmarg was arrested during checking at Ferozpora Tangmarg with 30 grams of Charas like substance.
Both the drug peddlers were booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and investigations set in motion.
Similarly police arrested another drug peddler identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Yatoo of Sultanpora Pattan during checking near Government Higher Secondary School Goshbugh Pattan.
The accused was coming on way to Sultapora from Hamrey and upon seeing the checking party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 8 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from him, police said and added the accused was also booked under NDPS Act. (UNI)
