3 drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Dec 12: Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Talab Tillo Police Post led by SI Kali Charan laid a naka and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK02CC-3604.
During checking, police team recovered 8 grams heroin from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Sunny Raina, son of Omkar Nath Raina of Vishal Nagar Tala Tillo District Jammu and Rohit Singh, son of Mohan Singh of Sundar Nagar Talab Tillo District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 176/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a joint team from Gangyal Police Station and Greater Kailash Police Post intercepted a scooty.
During checking, police team recovered 15 grams heroin from the possession of the scooty rider and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Mandeep Singh alias Mannu, son of Jaswant Singh of Karan Bagh Gadigarh, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 143/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation initiated.
It is pertinent to mention that Mandeep Singh alias Mannu was absconding in a case registered under FIR Number 386/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act with Police Station Nagrota.
The arrest was made by SHO Gangyal Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and assisted by Incharge Police Post Greater Kaliash SI Rohit Gandhi under the supervision of SP South Vinay Sharma.
