3 drug peddlers arrested with narcotics

JAMMU, May 11: Sidhra and Channi Himmat Police arrested three drug peddlers arrested and recovered narcotics from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Sidhra Police Post led by SI Parvez Ahmed laid a naka and intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 45 intoxicant injections from the possession of the duo and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Nazir Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Bharat Nagar, District Udhampur and Nawaz Sharief, son of Masoom Ali of Sidhra, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 202/19 under relevant Sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Meanwhile, sleuths of District Special Branch and Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Aslam nabbed a drug peddler and recovered 2 grams heroin and Rs 8560 cash.
The accused has been identified as Bikram Singh alias Panku, son of Sikander Singh, a resident of Godher Bhambla, District Reasi, at present Deeli Channi Himmat.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
