SRINAGAR, Aug 14: Police today arrested 3 drug peddlers and recovered poppy straw from their possession.
A police spokesman said that during naka checking, a team of cops intercepted a Tata Mobile 207 bearing registration number JK04A-2805. “On its checking, police recovered 40 kilograms of poppy straw. The peddlers who were transporting poppy straw have been taken into custody and were identified as Sonaullah Sheikh, Ismail Bhat and Ashraf Kambay.
Police has registered a case in this regard and further investigation is on, the spokesman added.
