JAMMU, Oct 13: Police in Miran Sahib area claimed today they have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 50 grams of heroin from their possession.
A police official said that during routine patrolling, a team of Miran Sahib Police Station established a naka below Flyover Ring Road, Kotli Mian Fateh, and rounded up three suspects for questioning.
They were identified as Mohammad Mushtaq alias Channi of Kothey Sheikh Miran Sahib, Shubham Sharma of Basti Brij Nagar and Vishal Kataria of Gazian, RS Pura.
During search of the suspects, the police official said that 50 grams of heroin was recovered.
Accordingly, he said, the accused have been booked in case FIR number 101/2024 under sections 8/21/22/29/60 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and further investigation taken up.
