MENDHAR, Dec 14: Block Medical Officer Mandhar, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan today placed three Medical employees under suspension and sealed two medicine shops .
Reports said that BMO Mendhar during surprise visit to Primary Health Centre, Chhatral today found three employees absent from duty. They included FMPHW Shamshad Begum, Nursing Orderly (NO) Ghulam Abbas and Safaiwalla ( Class-IV worker) Nazir Hussain. The BMO placed all the three under suspension and attached them to Block Medical office Mendhar. Their pay was also withheld. He sought explanation of Sector Medical Officer Dr Mohd Bashir for not maintaining office record.
Meanwhile, the BMO also sealed to Medical shops at Chhatral which were operating illegally. These shops with the name and style of M/S Mehmood Medical Hall and M/S Khan Medical Hall were operating without any registration from the State Drug authorities. After sealing the shops, Dr Khan forwarded the matter to Drug Controller J&K and Director Health Services, Jammu.
