JAMMU, Oct 10: Two hundred and thirty-five fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported today from Jammu division while three deaths were also reported, taking the death toll till date to 424.
According to a Government spokesperson, 235 new cases were reported in last 24 hours from Jammu division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu division to 33283 while with three more deaths, the death toll in Jammu division mounted to 424.
Moreover, 509 COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals of Jammu province. There are total 33283 positive cases in Jammu division and out of these 4712 are active positive, 28147 have recovered and 424 died.
Jammu district reported the highest number of 109 Corona cases followed by 29 each in Rajouri and Kishtwar districts. There are total 15160 positive cases in Jammu district with 1430 active positive cases, 13509 recoveries (including 181 cases recovered today) and 221 deaths while Rajouri has 2981 positive cases with 526 active positive cases, 2413 recovered (including 43 cases recovered today) and 42 deaths.
With 2 fresh cases, the total number of Corona cases in Ramban district has reached to 1440 with 120 active positive while 1309 (including 6 cases of today) have recovered and 11 died whereas Kathua has 2255 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 137 active positive, 2089 recovered (including 19 cases recovered today) and 29 deaths.
Likewise, Udhampur has 2481 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 231 active positive cases, 2228 recovered (including 86 cases recovered today) and 22 deaths while Samba has 1967 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 422 active positive, 1521 recoveries (including 28 cases recovered today) and 24 deaths.
Five fresh cases were reported in Doda district taking the total number of cases in the district to 2383. The district has 729 active positive cases while 1616 (including 67 cases of today) have recovered so far and 38 died. Poonch has 1981 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 724 active positive, 1237 recoveries (including 54 cases reported today) and 20 deaths.
Similarly, Reasi district has 1120 positive cases (including 5 cases reported today) with 166 active positive, 948 recoveries and 6 deaths while Kishtwar has 1515 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 227 active positive cases and 1277 recoveries (including 25 cases reported today) and 11 deaths.
Meanwhile, out of 1818753 persons tested till date in the whole of J&K, 1735689 have been tested as negative. Till date, 611888 persons have been enlisted for observation in the UT which included 25347 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by Government, 10796 in isolation and 48356 in home surveillance. Besides, 526076 persons have completed their surveillance period.
