JAMMU, Sept 24: Police today arrested three gamblers, recovered Rs 6980 bet money and playing cards from their possession at Bakshi Nagar.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Bakshi Nagar Police Station arrested three gamblers namely Munish Verma, son of Kasturi Lal, Mohit Vaid, son of Ravinder Vaid and Paramjit Singh, son of Avtar Singh, all resident of Bakshi Nagar, from outside a school premises.
Rs 6980 bet money along with playing cards were recovered from the spot, he added.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered at Bakshi Nagar Police Station.
