JAMMU, July 15: Police arrested three gamblers along with Rs 5,000 stake money and playing cards from Nagrota.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police party from Nagrota police station conducted a raid near Sainik School Nagrota and arrested three gamblers along with Rs 5,000 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Nazir Ahmad alias Kali, son of Kaka Gujjar of Katal Battal, Mohammad Shafi, son of Ghulam Mohi Din Baigh of Sidhra and Narinder Kumar, son of Ram Lal of Katal Battal.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Nagrota Khalik Choudhary.
