JAMMU, May 21: Police today arrested three gamblers and recovered Rs 11,000 bet money from their possession.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gharota police station led by SHO Jatinder Singh Samyal conducted a raid and arrested three gamblers identified as Karan Singh, son of Krishan Singh, Pritam Singh, son of Chatter Singh and Surinder Singh, son of Rattan Singh, all residents of Sobka, Gharota.
An amount of Rs 11,000 was recovered from their possession, he added.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Gharota police station and investigation started.
