Srinagar, May 17: Police in Srinagar today arrested 3 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession.
Acting on specific information about gambling activities at Rawalpora Baghat, police said, a police party of PS Sadder raided the specific site and arrested three gamblers on the spot.
“They have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Parray son of Mohd Yousuf Parray resident of Rawatpora, Hakeem Mushtaq Ahmad son of Late Mohd Sadiq resident of Natipora and Manzoor Ahmad Chat son of Gh Nabi resident of Shah Faisal Colony Soura,” police said.
Officers have seized stake money of ¹ 53,000/- and playing cards from the gamblers.
Accordingly, as per police, a case vide FIR No. 50/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sadder and an investigation set into motion.
