3 gamblers in police net

JAMMU, Feb 7: Three gamblers were held along with Rs 16,200 stake money from Exhibition Ground area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station.
As per police sources, a police team from Nowabad police station conducted a raid near Exhibition Ground and arrested three gamblers along with Rs 16,200 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Gopal Chand, son of late Tej Ram of Prem Nagar, Billal Ahmed, son of Khazar Mohammad Mir of Talab Tillo and Jagjit Singh, son of Mohinder Singh of Bakshi Nagar.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered at police station Nowabad and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Mohammad Tufail made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nowabad police station Inspector Karan Chalotra, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
