JAMMU, Feb 9: Police today arrested three gamblers along with Rs 12,400 stake money from Rajiv Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Narwal police post.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Narwal police post conducted a raid in Rajiv Nagar area and arrested three gamblers along with Rs 12,400 and gambling instrument ‘Charakhdi’.
The accused have been identified as Parghash Singh, son of Pritam Singh of Bathindi, Kishore Kumar, son of Hans Raj of Gajansoo, Marh and Abdul Ghani, son of Choudhary Bira of Narwal Balla.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Narwal police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge police post Narwal SI Nayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, Incharge SP South Uday Bhaskar Billa and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
