3 gangsters arrested with ‘tokka’ by Janipur Police

JAMMU, July 24: Police today arrested three gangsters along with sharp edged weapon “tokka”.
A police spokesman said that, three youths identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Madan Lal, Sonu, son of Rakesh Kumar and Rahul Kumar, son of Vicky Kumar had some verbal dual with Bharat Bhushan, son of Rakesh Verma of Janipur Colony over some petty issue.
The trio assaulted Bharat Bhushan and also inflicted injuries to him with sharp edged weapon, he said, adding that the accused fled from the spot after committing the crime.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted Bharat Bhushan to Sarwal Hospital, where after treatment he was discharged, he added.
A case under FIR number 76/13 under Sections 341, 323 and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Janipur police station and investigation started.
On specific inputs, police party from Janipur Police Station led by SHO Inspector Niaz-ul-Hassan under the supervision of SDPO West Shabir Khan conducted raid and arrested the trio accused from a hideout.
The weapon used in the crime was also recovered from their possession, he added.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
