Srinagar, June 14: Four girls, including three from the same family, have achieved remarkable success in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-2023 and are poised to embark on promising educational journeys.
Arbish, Rutba, and Tooba, hailing from the Rajouri Kadal area of Srinagar, scored 565, 645, and 574 points, respectively. Additionally, Najfa, from Eidgah, who has been raised by a single parent, obtained 620 points.
Upon learning her score, Arbish said she felt a mixture of emotions. She said, “I was excited and at the same time I was emotional; it was a mix of emotions because finally, I could see my hard work paying off.”
Rutba-who is one of the toppers-attributed their success to the advantage of living under the same roof, fostering healthy competition and continuous improvement.
Tooba acknowledged the invaluable guidance of their teachers and the unwavering support from their family. “It was the same for all of us; we received what we needed the most: proper guidance and essential support, which kept us motivated to the core,” she said.
Najfa, from Eidgah, shared her journey as a single-parent child, stating that many people doubted her capabilities, but she worked hard to prove them wrong.
She credited her success to her mother, who has been her unwavering support system. “Having a single parent who takes care of everything was advantageous for my success; it proved to be a boon rather than a limitation,” Najfa affirmed.
When discussing her study strategy, Najfa emphasized the importance of understanding concepts thoroughly. “That is what does the trick and helps you cross the finish line,” she added, highlighting the significance of a strong foundation in key subjects.
She regarded her accomplishment in cracking NEET as the beginning of a true test. As she aspires to become a doctor, she recognizes the need for even greater effort.
