RAJOURI, Dec 21: Three persons were arrested by police along with some Narcotics substance in Chingus area of Rajouri last evening.
An official spokesman said that a police party from Chingus during Naka at Kallar, on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway intercepted a Celerio car bearing registration number JK12B- 2688 on its way towards Rajouri for checking.
During questioning of the people on board they disclosed their identities as Mohd Ajwar, son of Mohd Shabir, resident of Challas, Chingus; Mohd Maroof, son of Mohd Naseer, resident of Challas, Chingus and Shabab Ali Shah, son of Asger Ali Shah, resident of Galhuta, Mendhar.
On their personal search, 35 gms of heroin was recovered from their procession. On this, a case FIR No.553/24 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 of NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Rajouri. Further investigation was in progress.
The investigation of the case is underway to ascertain all the forward and backward linkages.
