JAMMU, Dec 15: Police arrested three miscreants along with gun and live cartridges from Aithem area, falling under the jurisdiction of Sidhra police post.
As per police sources, an information was received from Aithem area that three persons in a car and a motorcycle created panic in their area by opening fire in the air and later escaped towards nearby jungle area.
Acting over the information, police team rushed to the area and started hunt to arrest the persons. Finally, police arrested the persons from jungle area near Aithem and recovered a without licence 12 bore gun and three live cartridges from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Tarlok Singh alias Ladi, son of Naryan Singh of Bavlina Rohi, Darvinder Paul, son of Tirath Singh of Digiana and Bunny Gupta, son of Lok Raj Gupta of RS Pura.
Police also seized Alto car bearing registration number JK02AW-8318 and a motorcycle bearing registration number PB35K-0355.
A case under FIR Number 292/15 under Section 3/20/25 Arms Act has been registered against the accused at Sidhra police post and investigations started.
Police team led by Incharge Sidhra police post SI Noor Mohammad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
