KISHTWAR, Nov 14: Police here today arrested three notorious narcotic smugglers and recovered 11 gm Heroin like substance from them.
Giving details in this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal said on specific information developed from the leads of pervious information, special Naka was established at Sarthal Morh.
The Naka was led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO Police Station Kishtwar, assisted by PSI Ali Mohd under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs, Dr. Ishan Gupta.
While checking vehicles and pedestrian at Naka, police stopped a car of Eco make with registration number JK17-8837 and while checking vehicle, luggage and personal check of those travelling in the vehicle, cops recovered heroin like substance weighing about 11 gm and the trio was arrested on spot.
The arrested persons were Mohd Wasim, son of Mohd Ramzan, resident of Kulna Patimhal (driver); Mohd Ashraf and Mudassir Ahmed, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Buddhi, Doda.
Accordingly a case in FIR number 257/2023 under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
