JAMMU, July 11: Three people were arrested along with fake currency worth Rs three lakh at general bus stand here today.
“Acting on tip off, police party, during midnight, intercepted three persons moving suspiciously at the bus stand,” report said.
They said that during frisking, Rs three lakh fake Indian currency notes in the denomination of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 were recovered from their possession.
All the three persons identified as Abdul Gani, 48, resident of Gandoh, district Doda, Abdul Rashid, 50, resident Bijbehara, Anantnag and Feroz Ahmed, 31, resident of Sopre, Baramulla , have been arrested.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and investigations started, police added.
