UDHAMPUR, Dec 29: Three houses were gutted in a devastating fire in Mang Panchayat of Basantgarh tehsil in Udhampur district late last night. However, no one was injured in the incident.
According to reports, the fire broke out in the house of Sansar Chand, late last night and soon spread thus engulfing adjoining houses of Gouri Shankar and Sita Ram. All the members of these three families managed to come out safely with the help of locals when fire broke out.
The fire tenders could not reach to douse the flames as the area is non motor able.
The affected families have been shifted to nearby Primary School Harthal and provided blankets as well as eatables by the administration.
