POONCH, Jan 27: Three houses including a three-storey building, were completely gutted in Loran area of Mandi Sub Division in district Poonch the other day.
Official sources said that the houses of Ghulam Ahmed, son of Qadir; Mohd Maqbool and Razia Bi were gutted on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday at Trangad in Loyel Bela area of Mandi. The police said as per the victims, the fire incident apparently occurred due to electric short-circuit during mid night.
The fire tender could not reach there due to lack of communication. All the three houses were completely destroyed in the incident. The loss of property was said to be more than Rs 30 lakhs. No loss of human life has been reported. The police has taken cognizance.
