3 injured as 2 bikes collide

POONCH, Jan 16: Three persons were injured in a collision between two motorcycles at Mendhar town in Poonch district today.
According to police, at 8:30 am on Sunday, two motorcycles, bearing registration numbers- JK12-3997 and JK12B-0126, collided near Girls Higher Secondary School Chowk in Mendhar town. Three persons on board, including two Armed Police personnel were seriously injured. The injured were taken to the sub-district hospital in Mendhar where they were given first- aid.
“The injured were identified as Alfaz Ahmed (23), son of Mohd Taj from Nowshara; Qamar –ul- Haq (34), son of Tufail Hussain from village Kalaban and Farooq Ahmed (35), son of Ghulam Nabi from Shopian “ a police official said, adding, all the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Mendhar for medical treatment.
BMO Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan said the condition of two injured persons was stable and one Qamar- ul- Haq was referred to Govt Medical Collage Rajouri for further treatment. In this connection, a case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station, Mendhar.
