3 injured in road mishaps

SAMBA Apr 18: Three people including a cop were injured in two separate road mishaps in Samba district today.
Police said two persons were injured when their scooty hit with backside of the Bolero at Jammu- Pathankot National Highway near Maheshwar area of Samba today.
Police said the scooty bearing Registration Number JK21- 3339 hit with back side of Bolero bearing Registration No PB02BB- 0882 with the result the scooty rider namely Dalip Singh 52 Son of Milkha Singh resident of Badla Surara and his pillion rider Dwarka Nath, son of Kartar Chand resident of Chan Malgadria got injured. Both two wheeler and four wheeler were coming from Kathua side towards Jammu. The injured were brought to District Hospital, Samba for treatment with the help of locals but doctors referred Dwarka Nath to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment.
In this regard police has registered a case and started investigation.
In another incident a police cop was injured after hit by unknown vehicle during the Nakka duty at Bari Brahmana in district Samba today.
Police said at around 1:30pm, a police cop namely Rajeev Singh who was performing his duty at Bari Brahmana, gave stop signal to the I 20 car which was coming from Jammu side. Instead of stopping the driver of the car hit him and fled from the spot, as a result the cop received critical injuries in both legs. His colleagues immediately brought him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for treatment.
The Bari Brahmana Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
