UDHAMPUR, Aug 12: Three persons were injured in separate road accidents, here today while a youth attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances.
In a collision between two trucks bearing number PB02BV-8089 and PB35Q-5622 at Dhama Dhar road near Majalta this morning, their drivers sustained critical injuries. The injured drivers, identified as Anil Kumar son of Dass Mal of Aziz Pur Pathankote and Balbinder Singh son of Sodagar Singh of Gurdaspur, were rushed to Majalta hospital where doctors referred them to GMC hospital Jammu.
An elderly pedestrian was injured when a car hit him near hotel Singh Axes. The victim, identified as Mohd Hussain (67), son of Gulam Rasool of Shiv Nagar Udhampur, sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to Hospital.
Meanwhile, a youth namely Vijay Kumar son of Chotu Ram of Toldi Nallah, Udhampur, attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance. He was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his critical condition.
