3 involved in theft cases held

POONCH, Jan 8: With the arrest of three persons and recovery of stolen property, the police claimed to have solved several theft cases in the area.
Official sources said that police received a complaint from a shopkeeper regarding theft of money from his shop in Quila market Poonch during day time when he had gone for Namaz. In this connection, a case FIR No 05/2022 U/S 380 IPC got registered at Police Station Poonch and a police party headed by SHO Poonch Sureshwar Dev Singh under the supervision of Deputy SP Nawaz Ahmed and under overall supervision of SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra conducted detail enqiry and after identification, arrested three persons from diffrent locations of Poonch town.
During questioning all the three accused persons confessed their crime and on their disclosure police also recovered stolen money and other stolen items.
The arrested person have been identified as Mohd Rashid, son of Abdul Hamid from Sukha Katha; Mohd Qassim, son of Mohd Sharief from Ward No 1, Poonch and Sayeed Mujtaba alias Chootu, son of Afzal Hussain from ward No. 1, Poonch town.
Police said that the arrested persons are involved in several other theft cases also and they had also stolen money from religious places of Poonch town.
